I just felt compelled to post my thoughts after I read all the posts about the topic.

I think the administration has more to do with that than most members are willing ot admit to themselves. Brett himself has acknowledged that, as a sales comparison site, this is one of the biggst magnets on the internet for fanboy wars and prick-waving. The fact that things are as civil as they are is at least partially a result of a Herculean effort by the administration to try to keep reins on discourse.
