The PS3 port of Bayonetta from Sega is a poor imitation of the 360 game developed by Platinum Games. Textures don't look nearly as good, effects are downgraded and the frame rate is cut in half in the best of circumstances. The game runs at 60 fps on the 360 most of the time, never dipping below 45 during the most frantic action sequences. On the PS3, the frame rate rarely claws above 30 fps and often dips low into the 20s and can even reach the teens. This is nothing against the PS3 hardware and is simply a symptom of a game being developed by one company as a 360 exclusive and then being ported by a second company that seemingly didn't put much effort into the job. The game is still playable on the PS3 but anyone who wants Bayonetta and has both systems would be a fool to get it on anything other than the 360. For example: IGN gave Bayonetta a 9.5 on the 360 and an 8.2 on the PS3. |
WHile I agree that it is better on 360, that doesn't mean that the ps3 version sucks. The demo of that was one of the most breathtaking I've ever played.
