Nintendo and Microsoft are not going to wait around for Sony to "catch up" before they release more big games ... Consider that Nintendo will release Smash Bros. and Mario Kart (which are series as big as Mario Galaxy), and Wii Fit (which may/may not be a hit with non-gamers) all in the first half of 2008; on top of that the second half of 2008 is an unknown because Nintendo does not want to announce games years in advance anymore so we won't find out until 2008 what is comming out in 2008. On top of that Microsoft will receive (practically) every major western game release that Sony does and is sold at a lower price point which will (effectively) prevent the PS3 from selling all that well.
