Just because something was the first doesn't make it the one that defined that thing.  Even in one of my above posts I said the Xbox 360 wasn't the first console with online multiplayer, but it was the one that made it a standard in gaming and defined it.

Also, when was the Dreamcast released again?  Not this decade.
