I have to sort of agree. It defined the standards of the upstream market. MS layed the ground work with the XBox, but it was the 360 that shined in regards to being the standard "core gamers" console. PS3 included an HD, OS, and PSN all because they wanted to keep up and try and surpass. It was certainly a defining machine.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
