Ok, so I have a small problem. There are SO many incredible games coming out the next few months but my spouse has put me on a one game per month limit. I've basically narrowed it down to two games in January and two games in February and I already know that I'm getting GOW in March. So these are the games that I have narrowed down and I need some help ulitmately deciding between the games.
January- I've narrowed it down to Mass Effect 2 and MAG. I'm pretty sure that Mass Effect 2 will by far be the superior game. That being said, the massive value that MAG presents is far, far superior to the one playthrough I'll most likely get from Mass Effect 2. I also already know that my best friend is getting MAG and he's been trying to get me on board as well which is making me lean toward MAG. I can't help but feel a little bad about leaning toward the inferior game and to top it off I haven't bought a new 360 game in all of 09 because there wasn't one good exclusive that caught my eye this year. So my 360 gaming collection is hungry.
February- Luckily, the one game that I would have gotten above these two, Heavy Rain, will be bought by my spouse as she's looking forward to the game as much as I am. So she said she would buy it and that I could still purchase my own game that month. The two that I've narrowed it down to are Splinter Cell: Conviction and Bioshock 2. I am a HUGE fan of the first Bioshock and I firmly believe that it's one of the most well made games of all time. I loved the game so much that after beating the game on my 360, I had to get it and platinum the game on my ps3. It quite frankly blew me away. That being said, I'm not sold on the fact that the sequal will be as good as it's not made by the same team. As far as Splinter Cell, it's one of my favorite genre's, stealth, and from what I've seen of the game it looks incredible. I was more then surprised by how revolutionary it seems after having played double agent. It also has what seems like an awesome co-op mode. Both games will have vs multiplayer also I believe. So value isn't really a factor here, assuming that both online portions are good.
So what do you guys think? I'm not saying that I'm going to let this site decide for me, I'm not a robot. But I'm interested in seeing some opinions and hoping that someone will say something that can lead me one way or the other. I will hold the opinion of people I consider unbiased, and owners of both the ps3 and 360 with the most weight for obvious reasons.
