I picked the Genesis.

Although the SNES had more, better games, the Genny had a knack to it that made me choose it. It also well outlived the SNES, as games are still being made for it. I want to get a copy of Pier Solar for my Genny

I have Pier Solar pre-ordered. Oh man I can't wait to get my hands on that game and dust off the old Genesis to play it. But seeing as how the team wants to ensure that the game is shipped out as bug-free as possible I'm willing to wait.

I also recently got Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection on my 360. It's awesome.

For SNES gamers that enjoyed the SNES jrpgs and have a PS3 or 360, they should definitely check out that collection to see what Sega has to offer jrpg wise. That collection has 9 first-party jrpgs: Phantasy Star I-IV, Shining Force I + II, Shining in the Darkness (turn-based rpg version of Shining Force), Fatal Labyrinth (roguelike) and Beyond Oasis (action rpg). You have to unlock Phantasy Star I though.

40 Sega games in total in that collection and you can unlock 7 arcade ports and 2 Sega Master System (Sega's 8-bit system) games (one of which is Phantasy Star).
