Yeah, my suggestion to new Wii owners is to buy enough NiMH rechargeable AA cells to power all your controllers + 4 spares. Well, I suppose two spares would do you if you only have one lonely wiimote.
You can try your luck with chage packs, but I think they're less versatile than simple AA cells and some of them have dubious build quality.
