It is a shame how much crap this great game(Crystal Bearers) is getting.

Do you grow more powerful as the game progresses through your development of proper gear and whatnot? I seem to be having trouble killing off certain groups of enemies within the natural time limit, and am wondering if its a matter of my skill, or a matter of Layle's ability.
