For the record I'v never 'bitched' about this in the manner of the OP.

Personally in terms of usefulness to the platform I see the following descending scale:

1 - true, single platform exclusive - you want it, you need the right platform, be it PC, PS3, 360, Wii , etc. - so Uncharted, Halo, Gears, God of War, etc.

2 - console exclusive - useful, but it does mean you don't need the console if you have a decent PC. If you can't afford decent PC or don't want to use PC then you only have one console choice - Mass Effect and the like

3 - exclusive DLC - a little useful but I believe not massively though.

4 - multiplatform - doesn't help directly but equals the playing field



Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
