I think Sony are saying that their numbers have increased 300% from October'S NPD so if their numbers on the next NPD cycle are above 480k then they didn't lie or mislead anyone.
They are saying that this months numbers are a 300% increase from last month. Last month was only 120k so add 300% to that and you get 480k. Simple as that. So we won't know until next weeks data comes in which will complete the data for November and we add them up.
