Well, most homophobes have been scientifically show to have aspects of latent homosexuality...
So it wouldn't be unfounded.
But i'd guess it has more to do with scapegoatism for like the same reason something like racism exists. Your system isn't as good as you like, or selling as well as you'd like so you gotta blame something else and bash something else for your own feeling of inadequecy in a choice.
Of course i've got no explination why people hate the PS3 so much. Guess it's just like one those kids everyone picks on at school just because everyone picks on him.
