Lets look at the numbers directly.

160,000 Xbox 360 since March 06. Launched March 23rd. 360 posted the record at 30,000 units sold in the first 3 deays.

That's 56 (minus launch week) weeks so you can average that at 2300 a week.

80,000 Wii Since December 06. Launched December 7th. Wii beat 360 record at 32,000 in first 3 days.

That's 20 weeks so you can average that at just over 2500 a week since launch week.

PS3 was 27,000 in 10 days. It's been out for a total of 6 weeks now (which is 42 days) all up which gives us 4.5 weeks since GfK made that announcement.

That means in 4.5 weeks they have sold 9,000 consoles which means that since launch they have sold at an average weekly amount of 2000 a week.

I think Wii is doing okay in Aus considering the massive failure of the GameCube, but what is most interesting is to see that the PS3 is doing SO slowly this closely after launch.

And PS2 sold over 2 million in Aus didn't it? N64 was 750,000 and PSX 1.5 million?
