Problem for MS is even if it's fixed we'll all be hearing about people having RRoD issues for months or maybe years to come and since we won't know how old the 360 was in most cases it gives the appearance of still being a 'current' problem.
Only way out is a total recall, and only then if the RRoD is fixed for good.
