Rumor has it that they finally changed that crap X-clamp design in the new mobo designs, which was the main cause of RRoD. Between that, 65nm CPUs, and additional heatsinks, I think the red rings will slowly fade into memory.
Well, in theory. Let's hope that MS doesn't keep this crap up for an entire generation.
