edjevink said: It´s not correct the way you calculate these ratios. You can´t take the following titles in your calculation: Wii Sports (free copy with Wii) ~ 254.000 in the week of Nov. 17th. Forza 2 (free copy with Xbox 360) ~ 138.000 in the week of Nov. 17th. Marvel (free copy with Xbox 360) ~ 134.000 in the week of Nov. 17th. Wii Play (free copy with Wii Controller) ~ 131.000 in the week of Nov. 17th. Motorstorm (free copy with PS3) ~ 33.000 in the week of Nov. 17th. If you leave these titles out then the marketshare for Sony will be 31% with the PS2/PS3/PSP. Nintendo with the Wii/DS/GC/GBA will have a marketshare of 39%. Microsoft with the Xbox 360/Xbox will have a marketshare of 30%. These figures are for the week ending Nov. 17th. These figures were dramatically different with the release of Halo 3 and will change dramatically with the release of titles like Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Metal Gear Solid 4 as well. Bottomline: These figures are not interesting at all. On the other hand total software/total hardware ratio's per system are interesting. |
Wii Play costs $10 even with the Wii Controller price factored in. Wii Sports is not packed in Japan.
Also, what about packs such as PS3 starter pack in Europe?
Edit: Anyway, we had this argument for a long time on this forum everytime there's some kind of software count, there's really no point in it.
Edit2: And Welcome to the forums, hope you sustain long enough here to get by without being burned too much.
