I personally saw a 360 go bad right from a cold start so I doubt that the new process alone will make anything different. Also I have a friend that got an Arcade RRoD on him in a week (as soon as he put in Mass Effect, rofl). Aren't the arcades supposed to have the new CPU chips?

It seems pretty obvious that it's heat related considering that repairs appear to consist in adding heatsinks.

Regarding the Arcade, I have no idea. I'd imagine that by now we'd have seen thousands of doom and gloom OMG articles if it was proven that the RROD was a problem in new consoles.
