Re, PS3 sales and "Wii is doomed": An aggressive price-cut and one of the most hotly anticipated core games of the season in Japan, and the Wii still outsells it this week by a half-million. I think that's all that needs to be said.

Game, not bundled Tech Demo.

Wii Sports is a game, Xen.  And Garcian is right, FFXIII won't sell more than Wii Sports in Japan - a market where neither have been bundled.

Was I ever talking sales of games... in Japan? I was talking critical acclaim.

And in my eyes, it's just a glorified tech demo thats meant to get you into motion controls. Fun for an hour, no more.

Well.. I can't blame him for bringing sales since you said "Game of the generation". When I hear "Game of the generation" what comes to my mind are sales and impact, but obviously you aint mean any of that since Wii Sports has both. Did you mean critical acclaim? By who, reviewers? If so you must be confused since that spot is owned by GTA IV.

What does it need to be called a game? If Wii Sports is a tech demo are all the games that include "minigames" or sports tech demos too? Well, it's obvious that you're in a small minority since the average Wii owner has played 35 hours of Wii sports.
