Souhei Niikawa, president of Nippon Ichi Software (NIS) announced that his company would increase the number of games it develops for PlayStation 3. Niikawa's comment echoes a similar statement made by Haru Akenaga, the head of NIS' American subsidiary NISA in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz three months ago.

So far, Gifu prefecture-based NIS has released one PlayStation 3 title, Disgaea 3, and is working on one more confirmed project, Last Rebellion, for Sony Computer Entertainment's platform. The fate of Makai Wars, the first PS3 title announced by NIS, is still unknown.

Niikawa also revealed that his company has joined forces with a still unknown person for a certain project. The NIS president said, he was sure the identity of the mysterious cooperation partner would surprise people.

More jRPGs for PS3 it seems.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
