Miyamoto seems to have had a good start, but so what? The Gamecube started off well too. The biggest problem Miyamoto has to face is that he is making games solely for outdated technology, so in the long run, the competition likely catches up and surpasses him.

I hope you're being sarcastic there, miyamoto games haven't exactly been known to push the boundaries of technology. Until mario starts facing hundreds of machine gone toting goombas with huge amounts of facial hair in a space station with a thousand lighting sources, his games will never require a large amount of power compared to the other games.

On topic, Miyamoto will win this no question, but I would say the director of Zelda:TP would be a decent mention. Forget his name.

Eiji Aonuma.  He was also the director of Majora's Mask and the Wind Waker, and the assistant directer of Ocarina of Time.

I completely forgot about him, tbh.
