cAPSLOCK said: I imagine Wii Sports Resort revealed some simplified and basic mechanics of Zelda Wii. At least in terms of archery and sword fighting. I'd like to see an actual Zelda game, too, but I'd also like to see the series get back to its action oriented roots and build on that. I wouldn't want to see a 60 hour Link's Crossbow Training, but at the same time I wouldn't want to see another Zelda that's 40-60 hours where a good bulk of that play time is filler where interesting and varied gameplay could be. If given the all or nothing choice between a 60 hour Link's Crossbow Training or 60 hour Twilight Princess I'd take the crossbow training any day of the week, at least then I'd probably keep playing it out of something besides guilt for having paid $50. Another Twilight Princess paced game would be a kick in the nuts, too. |
You make legitimate complaints based on a particular value set
I don't know if it's fair to judge a game based on what it isn't, but....
Well, if New Super Mario Bros. Wii is any indication (it may not be) we'll see a return to the roots. I expect a much faster intro, at any rate. And there's still goignn to be long stretches of nothing - there always have been, in all of the games - but I expect them to be filled with combat rather than traveling.
Though if there's horseback combat for the traveling, that would be good too.
