Kasz is right. If you can afford something, it doesn't mean that you will buy it. It's about how much it's worth to you. For example I would like to buy this shirt that I like but it costs 300 bucks. Do you think that I would seriously save up 300 bucks to buy the shirt, if I could get it for free otherwise?

The "if i could get it for free otherwise" part isn't even relevent.

Even if it wasn't free you wouldn't save up $300 bucks to buy a shirt.

Which is the point Wolf keeps painfully, painfully missing.

For MOST people who pirate.  They don't value videogames to be worth the price charged.  They could save up... hell plenty wouldn't even have to save up... but the price just isn't worth the product.

Piracy "boosts" the value of a PS3.  Just as games being 60 dollars instead of 400 boosts the value of a PS3.
