You have a choice, and that means that can can buy a game which means it IS actually hurting game sales which defeats the whole idea of a victimless crime. If you have the ability to save up for a PSP then you are perfectly able to buy a PSP game. Well let me reply to your question "You would never purchase a game at $200 correct?" Let me see, if by some miracle I was able to purchase a game that is 1/4 the price then of course I am able to afford the game, all it takes is a little patience. |
No it isn't. Because you could afford something doesn't mean you WOULD buy something.
Once again, you stated yourself you would not buy a PS3 or a PS3 game at 200 dollars.
Are you now backtracking from this statement? If PS3 games did cost 200 dollars you would still buy your PS3?
The issue isn't that you can't afford the game. It's that the game isn't worth the price you would pay. I could pay 500 dollars for someone to shine my shoes.
I'm not going to do that because it's not worth the money.
If MP3's started costing 100 dollars a piece, piracy would drastically go up, no? Why? Because an unreasonable price is being charged for a product.
People who pirate are rejecting what they see as an unreasonable cost.
