Case and point CoD played the same on PS3 and 360 but had a better community on 360. Everyone got the 360 version for the better online experience.
On this topic It's just about how a game sounds and how FMVs look. No better community is going to make you lean in one direction and in-game graphics are the same. Why not choose the one with slightly better sound and FMVs with no disc swap?

2 simple reasons:
Achievements/Gamerscore
Massively more comfortable (for me) Xbox 360 controller
The FMV compression differences will most likely not be noticable. An MP3 file can easily be 1/10th the size of an uncompressed WAV file without most people being able to hear the difference. That means you could compress 10GB worth of uncompressed audio to 1GB or at most 2GB without most people noticing.
