I agree with you, the lack of side-quests that most people are posting is clearly disturbing. The hunts do look great, and will allow you to fight some insanely hard monsters (Especially the Omega Weapon version of this game, as I've read on a forum), but if it's the only side-quest, it's a bit dissapointing.
