| Reasonable said: This really shouldn't be viewed as a traditional demo. The tuning and setup is geared towards realistic because this is really being used for a competition and to clearly differentiation drivers who can perform like a racing driver vs casual driving. Most of us are going to suck at it, to be blunt. To improve is going to take serious dedication - to get anywhere near the top is going to take a wheel and both some serious skill and insane dedication to driving that course many, many, many times. |
I'm going to quote myself - rather arrogant I know - because people are still calling this a demo for GT5, puzzling at graphics, etc.
This isn't a demo, it's not to show the features, it's locked in the driving physics at very realistic - i.e. hard - and it's stripped down the graphics to make it smaller so it's a very quick and easy download.
This is a time trial for a competition using the base GT5 driving physics for a serious competition where only folks with a wheel and serious skill are going to get anywhere.
It's of interest, sure, but if you're downloading it to get a peak at GT5 you're not really. If you're using this to judge final GT5 then its not the best idea. It's one track, with reduced graphical features and the focus on the driving physics only. The car handles very realistically and simply will not allow high speed turns as though you're playing Burnout. The least error in speed, braking and turning and you will spin off, just like real life.
So please, can we stop with all the inaccurate assessments and simply see this for what it is?
Heck, I don't normally buy GT games, I prefer arcade fun driving games like Burnout, but c'mon, people are just looking silly in their comments, whether borne of genuine confusion or willful intent - the purpose of this cut of the GT5 code is clear, and it's for one thing only and not the one many seem to be assuming.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
