I actually enjoyed the demo, and I'm not a fan of Tri-Ace. I hated the last three games I've played from them. The battle system was pretty interesting and fresh, and I'm really digging the art-style and the setting. Just hope this end up being another case of Mirror's Edge for me where the demo was fun to play, but the full game felt bland after a while. I can see RoF's battle system getting dull and repetitive fairly quick.
And I agree with Xxain.
