Long time ago I tried cigarettes, but they gave me anxiety and tachycardia, light ones remind me of burnt stubble, I don't like them. I liked cigars and pipe, but not enough to become a smoker. I like cannabis too (btw it neutralizes the unpleasant side effects I suffer from tobacco), but not enough to become a regular consumer, I simply accept if someone I know offers me a puff.
Edit: and I try to persuade friends to stop smoking, even more since my dad died for several diseases, most of which caused by having been in the past a heavy smoker, he stopped when he was too late and despite he survived more than 20 years, he hadn't a good health anymore, and eventually things got worse and he wasn't strong enough anymore to overcome the last serious pneumonia.
