Most people actually still beleive government inaction rather then action is what caused the great depression, because Kensyian economics are were big back when the core history books were written.

Ask an economist what happened...

They're mostly going to go with what i've stated.

 

The problem is... your getting to emotionally invested and worked up about it.  Your not taking a clear overhead view of it.
