Seriously, horrible textures, polygon count seems low (and less AA...lots 'o jaggies), and overall looks much worse than the original (how did they manage that?).

 

You are comparing the first ever images released of a game that will not hit shelves for year against a fully finished and released game.

If they're re-using the engine from the first though, shouldn't it already look that good until they tweak it to look better than the original?
