From a Christian point of view, I believe that God isn't pleased when people celebrate something that is not commanded in the Bible IF that celebration is against Christian principles. Christmas is based on pagan traditions that still preserve their symbology within the supposedly Christian celebration.
I mean, God doesn't command us to celebrate our birthdays, but I celebrate birthdays because birthdays are (usually) neutral, Christmas isn't.
