| WereKitten said: ^ And the whole point was making other browsers as much as convenient as IE for most user, because that's deemed important. You can disagree with me and even believe whatever you want, but seriously:
this kind of stuff, i.e. putting words in the mouth of others doesn't lead anywhere in a discussion, is insulting to the logic of any reader following the thread and is basically uncool. I've explained why I think that the browser market is important enough that we should make sure the field is as fair as possible, the competition happens on the quality of the software, and we try to educate consumers about their options. I've explained why I think variety brings a better web to everybody, and pointed to the historical evidence. If you want to discuss those points with a modicum of logic you're welcome. If you prefer childish comebacks like the quoted one we might as well not bother further. |
It's not putting words in your mouth. It's just what your doing... all you've stated is a hate of Internet Explorer and a simple dislike that the fact that a company that makes the most popular OS also makes the most popular web browser.
Making it more convient in the way your talking would be like forcing McDonalds to sell Whoppers.
Is it more convient? Hell, yeah. Is it fair to McDonalds? Hell, No.
Products are bundled with popular products all the time. It's called smart buisness.
No one is forced to use IE and they don't even pretend that your forced to use IE. Those are the only circumstances a monopoly deregulator should step in.
Well that and price undercutting. However we are talking about a FREE product.
