Blu-ray has now been in the market for a few years and the ps3 with it.
Now that avatar has been releasd and it seems to be a successs at the box office one of the things that make this movie so great is the 3-d ( yet a few weeks or months ago(i don't exactly remember when) it was announced that ps3 as well as 360 would support 3d technology and that blu-ray movies was to also become 3d compatible. Watching movies in 3d could be a selling point for blu-ray and avatar containing that technology would really help it to become the leading format, thus i think that it has a definite link with the console sales given that the ps3 is the only blu-ray player that we know for sure will play 3d movies.
so what is your opnion on all of this?
