well you mentioned one of them, for recent games i'd say Mass Effect and Dragon Age. and heck of alot of RPGs.

KotOR2 does not have an integration of plot into gameplay to the same degree that Phoenix Wright does, even though conversation makes up a huge portion of the game.

The reason I bring up Sith Lords is that it oozes "The Gotta", which is the quality that Killergran is referring to - the need to continue a story.
