I've been in more of a christmas spirit this year than before. I want to bake things, buy things, sing songs, watch christmas specials. idk. College makes you nostalgic for a more carefree youth, a fantasy i am trying to embody as we speak.
But yeah, fundamentalist Christianity has been looking a bit askance at Christmas of late, because it really has nothing to do with the core root of Christianity (but no religion today truly emulates original, apostolic christianity), it's just another one of the holidays that the early Christians kinda grafted on to take the place of earlier, pagan roman holidays (St. Valentine's day is another such)
