First, let me talk about my experiences with the game. I have been playing it on and off again for a while now, but haven't gotten too far in the grand campaign. Usually, I am playing as England and manage to conquer France before I get distracted.

I really like the gameplay modifications in Custom Campaign Mod II, especially the unit rebalancing. I always believed that cavalry were overpowered, and CCM2 gives me a chance to counter them with something other than more cavalry. The only thing that bothers me is the half upkeep. It seems to take any resource management out of the game, as by the time I conquer all of Britain and the three regions on the mainland, I still have a ton of money (I actually gave the Pope about 150,000 to please him).

Am I missing something? Should I be building more armies, or is resource management out of the window with this mod. I know the game isn't Campain Map centric, but I still want my merchants to be useful. I have a multiplayer campaign being started with my friends this coming weekend and I want to be able to tell them if they should use this mod or the Retrofit mod by itself. Thank you for any input.
