Yes - its called compression.

Take Flowerworks for example: the WiiWare version is superior to the PC version. Yet the PC version is more than double the size... how can this be?

This is part of the problem with BluRay IMO... it allows developers to get sloppy. Smaller games are always better... but when we put the PC version of Flowerworks out - we had no size restrictions - who cares how big it is?

But for the Wii version we actually cared... so enter compression. Even with the lossy compression formats, if done properly - there is no noticable difference between the two. As for lossless... it speak for itself.

This just shows what a massive portion of FFXIII must be movies or CG. I can't wait until the PS3/360 versions are out, and people start *trying* to notice the differences... :P
