Which console has improved the most since its launch?

Definately the PS3. A redesign, new controller, improved online, trophies, etc.

Then the 360. The Wii is basically the same. It takes Nintendo 2 years to release a rudimentary SD card implementation. And Wiimotion plus, but thats about it.
