Isn't NiGHTS also relaxing if you play it that way? NiGHTS seems like a better looking version of Endless Ocean that may be both relaxing and competitive. OK, maybe I am a little off, but you get the idea.
Endless Ocean does offer a more mature theme and a lower price, though.
