Exactly. A 'bad' Final Fantasy is still better than nearly every other RPG.

quoted for truth, i was disappointed from FFXII as a Final Fantasy, but not as an RPG itself, it was just a pretty 08/15 storyline. It started with 'OMFGDIDYOUSEETHAT!!???1', and ended with.. 'meh' (imo).
but i'll give XII another try after finishing Dragon Age to a 100%.
