Mega Man Quick Poll - Overall Best NES Mega Man Game?

Overall best is Mega Man 4. I think a large percentage of people never really played 4 around the time it came out, but it's by far my favorite. The music is excellent (omg Wily stage 3/4 music is bloody EPIC), the storyline is the best of the 8-bits (Dr. Cossack is your nemesis this time? Nope, major plot twist! Wily just kidnapped Cossack's daughter!), and I feel that level design peaked with 4 (best water level with Dive Man, Met level, Ring Man's platforms).

Mega Man 4 also had two of my favorite robot masters off-setting the crappy robot masters. Pharaoh Man and Skull Man absolutely pwn.

 

But seriously, after the major plot twist (I was used to Wily being the boss as a kid until IV), and hearing the final stage's music... I could never pick another MM game. Seriously, just listen to this music, not to mention the explosion sound when it loops!
