I recall a Nigerion 101 where the scammers were actually understanding the reply, instead of hammering down on the same info. The guy kept making excuses like: I am in the middle of a bank-account transfer. My telephone company has locked my service. My house burned down. I have cancer, etc...

After half a year of mailing back and forth, the guy responded to the scammer with:

In response to your mails I have now the required sum for a mortgage on my house, $500.000. But as my house burned down and my account hasn't been switched yet there is a small problem. Friend, if you please give me your bank-account, adress, home phone number and full name as you are known by the authorities I can make this all in order!



Oh and Seece, some people are stupid enough to fall for this. I recall that one scam that specifically targeted the "good and charitable hearts" of people of faith where people donated to support someone that mailed them...
