why is it when the south gets a bit of snow its news....yet when i am repeatedly unable to leave my house due to snow over the years it never gets a mention......

If it rains in London, it's not news.

If it rains in the Sahara Desert, it's news.

Hypocrisy?

thats a rather poor analogy.

lets face it... southerners are soft when it comes to a bit of snow and slush.... actually... southerners are just soft.

If you get snow for half the year, it's not news.

We get snow once in a decade. We're allowed to write articles about it.

we dont get snow half the year... we get it in the winter, maybe once or twice every year properly, and light dustings more regularly during those same periods.  A couple fo years ago  I was snowed in my home for about 3 days... couldnt move the car. No mention.

the news is london centric and its annoying.

Hey, we paid notice to that tornado in Birmingham a couple years back
