Thats exactly why its a good time to release that. a 3DTV also is a HDTV, if you wait for everyone to purchase a HDTV than theyll have to purchase another TV. A 3D ready HDTV is not a lot more expensive, so its a great timing as people will consider it when purchasing their first HDTV.

Well, as to that... we'll see. I'm not saying the strategy itself is bad, it's just that it might not be the best of ideas to go down that path right now, for them, considering the state Sony as a company has been in lately, and the economical state the world's in right now.
