I wouldn't say by any means it's out of the question for PS3 to outsell 360 before the arrival of next generation hardware.
1. Natal may not take off.
2. 360 is at a distinct disadvantage as far as market saturation, period of availability, demand, and base manufacturing cost.
3. If most people are correct in assuming that Microsoft will be first to reveal and launch their next generation of hardware that that could have an ill effect on 360 sales as consumers hold off for the new expensive product.
