Sony is involved in a lot of tech for sure, but they are rarely the innovators these days. 10 years ago you'd be stupid not to get a sony TV when shopping for a high end model...these days you'd be stupid to pay for sony TV prices as competition is cheaper and often better.
With 3D, hopefully they figure out a way to make it mainstream... Its still quite a hassle even with a PC and 3D capable TV. Atleast then they will get the recognition of being innovators...even if the tech has been around for 20 years.
