For 3D at 1080p, you really want at least a GTX 275. To have a smooth experience, you need to be able to have 120 fps so that in 3D it is 2 streams at 60 fps.

Its really not as bad as people think. with an 8800 GS I ran Fear 2 with 75% quality perfectly. Games like FEAR, Half Life, Left 4 Dead, Far Cry all run with 8800GS fully playable in 3D.

Now we all know Crysis is the exception, but i mean, I don't mind turning off AA (I have 1080p so I won't really miss it) and making detail medium on most games. I do think this will work pretty good with 90% of games... I have a gut feeling :)

Good to hear as that's my Graphics card and I get my 3d shit in a week or so.

I hear Crysis doesn't work in 3d. You get grphical glitches and artifacts. Stick to 2d for that game.

Yeah...you will quickly learn which old games have optimizied engine and which dont.

There is no reason why Halo would run worse than Half life 2 since its a port form a 2001 733 Mhz Xbox game...but it does when you put it in 3D using that card.

You will proably want to upgrade the video card soon as you will spend more time watching 3D videos of people playing cool new games than actually playing them yourself :)
