@KingFate: well considering the size of the TV market then even a 5%-10% market penetration would be huge. And 3D is a much easier concept to sell to people than just 'higher resolution'. So for Sony and other TV makers they don't need 50%+ of the market to adopt this for it to have a great value to them, they can start by selling it to the high end part of the market and use the technology leader image to help sell non-3d tvs to the lower income segment of the market.
