I convinced my parents, my brother and sisters, sister-in-law, brother-in-law not to spend money anymore on each other and buy things for other adults they could have easily bought on their own outside the christmas season. Now everyone is glad that they don't have to run around anymore and buy christmas presents for other adult family members.
Christmas presents should be exclusive to kids/teenagers in my opinion. That's the age where you enjoy them the most.
My older nephew and my niece don't tell me their wishlists anymore, they get money so that they can buy whatever they want. They prefer it this way and who am I to disagree.
My younger nephews get lots of things from their wishlists. I love to go through their wishlists and pick the things I would have wanted the most when I was a child today.
