2 mil? When it's a sequel with the point being to have a save file transfer to supplement your own story? No that wouldn't happen without the help of hefty price drops early on.

The game isn't in the slightest unplayable just because you don't have a save file from the first game. It's not "the point being", it's just a big bonus if you do still have your old file.

Regardless, Bioware have already confirmed themselves that you can pick up ME2 without having played the first and you won't not understand what's going on.

Sigh, if this is gonna help you sleep at night then say what you please but if your any sort of a RPG fan you would know your transferable save file from the first game is more than a "big bonus", if your trying to convince yourself otherwise your truly only fooling yourself. 

This is completely missing the point and many other games give you an understanding of what happened in the last one if you haven't played it to begin with.

>_>, you dont need to play the first version of any game if the second one is good enough to cover both....surely i understand where you are coming from but telling him "oh people should always play the first one cause it adds to the experience" will suffice, you dont have to make wholikedwood look like an ass just because of his comment which is a valid one...i too have been gaming for quite a while and i will bet that playing ME2 without playing the first one will be fine,  and no one has to be a "RPG fan" to understand what your trying to get across.
